The most successful business owners have a command over their financials through regular reviews and also use a few key metrics (outside of sales and bank balances).
We helped an IT placement firm get control over their sales, cash, and profit numbers by establishing a monthly review process and developing a customized one-page dashboard of metrics. For the first time, the owners had a timely review and closing process and could have meaningful conversations about how they could address cash flow issues, proactively.
Through the customized metrics and a new sales forecasting tool we developed, the owners were able to foresee problems and start determining how their mix of pricing was impacting their results. In addition to forecasting sales, we partnered with the client to forecast earnings for the remainder of the year so that they could work with their accountants in tax planning.
